HOLO GUILD
Membership Terms.
The short version: Holo Guild is an independent, UK-only community for collectors aged 18 or over. Membership renews until cancelled. Members trade with each other at their own risk; Holo Guild is not the buyer, seller, escrow service or authenticator.
1. Who we are
Holo Guild is operated by Neil Spencer trading as Holo Guild, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. “Holo Guild”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business.

Holo Guild is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak or Creatures.
2. Eligibility and applications
- You must be at least 18 years old and ordinarily live in the United Kingdom.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account details reasonably up to date.
- Membership is application-based. We may decline an application where reasonably necessary to protect the community, prevent abuse or keep the launch group manageable.
- An approval or invitation is personal to you and must not be sold, transferred or shared.
3. Membership and payment
The first 200 activated memberships may qualify for the Founding rate of £3.99 per month or £39 per year. After those places are allocated, the planned standard rate is £7.99 per month or £79 per year. The exact price and billing period shown at checkout are the price you agree to pay.
Payments and recurring billing are handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically on the chosen monthly or annual cycle until cancelled. We will give reasonable advance notice of any change to the price of an existing subscription and explain your options.
A Founding rate remains available only while that Founding membership stays continuously active. If it is cancelled or ends for non-payment, any later membership may be offered at the then-current standard price.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Your 14-day cooling-off right
You may cancel a new membership within 14 days after the contract is made and receive a full refund. Contact us using the email address in section 1. This voluntary full-refund approach avoids any deduction for access used during those 14 days and does not limit any statutory rights.
After the first 14 days
You may cancel at any time by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period. We do not normally give partial refunds for an unused part of a billing period, unless the law requires one or we have failed to provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
We will provide confirmation of cancellation in a form you can keep. These terms do not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Accounts and security
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Do not share accounts, impersonate another person or try to bypass security controls.
6. Member content and licence
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Holo Guild a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate and promote the service. For example, a profile or approved testimonial may be shown to other members or, where clearly indicated, on a limited public collector page.
You must have the right to upload your content. Do not upload another person’s personal information, images or intellectual property without permission. You can ask us to remove your content, although copies may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, safety, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
7. Trading between members
Listings, wanted posts, offers, messages, meetups and feedback help members connect. Any purchase, sale, swap, postage arrangement or meetup is a transaction between the members involved. Holo Guild is not a party to it, does not hold money or cards in escrow, and does not authenticate, grade, insure or guarantee cards.
Members must describe cards, condition, authenticity, price and postage honestly; agree the deal in writing; use suitable payment and tracked or insured delivery methods; and take sensible precautions when meeting. Nothing in these terms removes legal rights that a member may have against another trader or seller.
Report suspected fraud, counterfeit cards, stolen goods or unsafe conduct promptly. If there is immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
8. Member Code and moderation
You must follow the Holo Guild Member Code. We may remove content, limit features, suspend or end an account where we reasonably believe this is necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, non-payment or serious or repeated rule breaches. We will normally explain the decision and provide a way to ask for review, unless doing so would create a safety, security or legal risk.
9. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, improve or change features. If a material change significantly reduces a paid membership, we will give reasonable notice and any remedy required by law.
We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons. Material changes will be communicated in advance where practicable. Continued use after the notified effective date means the updated terms apply, but changes will not remove rights already accrued.
10. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses caused by another member, for the outcome of a member-to-member transaction, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. We do not exclude responsibility where the law says we cannot.
11. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve a complaint. The laws of England and Wales apply, but if you live elsewhere in the UK you keep any mandatory local consumer protections and may use your local courts where the law allows.
