HOLO GUILD
Member Code.
The standard: be honest about cards, respectful to people, careful with personal information and willing to resolve problems fairly. A private community only works when trust is earned.
1. Adults in the UK only
Holo Guild is for UK residents aged 18 or over. Do not create an account for a child, invite a child into member areas or knowingly arrange a trade or meetup through Holo Guild with someone under 18.
2. Treat people with respect
- No harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation or unwanted sexual attention.
- No hateful conduct or discrimination based on protected or personal characteristics.
- No doxxing, sharing private communications without a proper reason, or pressuring someone to reveal personal information.
- Disagree about cards, prices and grading without attacking the person.
3. Trade honestly
- Describe the exact card, edition, language, condition, alterations and known defects accurately.
- Never list counterfeit, stolen or unlawfully obtained items, or knowingly misrepresent a card’s authenticity or grade.
- Agree the cards, price, payment method, postage, tracking, insurance and timing in writing before sending anything.
- Do not manipulate feedback, create fake interest, pressure another member or use misleading scarcity claims.
- Respond promptly if something goes wrong and make a genuine effort to resolve it fairly.
Holo Guild does not authenticate cards, hold funds or guarantee trades. Use tracked and suitably insured postage for valuable items and take extra care with in-person meetups.
4. Keep the community safe
- No scams, fraud, impersonation, phishing, malware, account sharing or attempts to defeat security controls.
- No illegal content or activity, threats of violence, promotion of terrorism, sexual exploitation, or instructions that facilitate serious harm.
- No pornographic or sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or content encouraging suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
- No sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons or other prohibited goods.
- No spam, mass unsolicited messages, pyramid schemes or irrelevant commercial promotion.
5. Protect privacy
Use an approximate location, such as a town or county, rather than a home address in profiles or public posts. Exchange delivery details privately and only when needed for an agreed transaction. Do not publish another person’s address, phone number, financial details or identity documents.
6. Respect ownership
Only upload images and words you created or have permission to use. Give credit where appropriate. Do not copy listings, photographs, articles or branding in a way that infringes another person’s rights. Fan discussion is welcome; misleading claims of official affiliation are not.
7. Meetups
Meet in a suitable public place, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own travel safely and do not carry more cash or high-value cards than necessary. A Holo Guild listing does not mean we organise, supervise or insure the meetup.
8. Reporting and moderation
Use the report feature or contact us if content, behaviour or a transaction appears unsafe, dishonest or unlawful. Do not make knowingly false reports or organise pile-ons. Preserve relevant messages, photographs, payment records and postage evidence.
Depending on seriousness and context, we may give guidance or a warning, remove content, limit features, suspend an account or end membership. Serious safety, fraud or illegal-content concerns may be acted on immediately and reported to the appropriate service or authority. Members may ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed.
